MEMBERSHIP TERMS

THE RULES

I. Tip well. This is not optional. Tipping is part of the membership agreement.
II. Be respectful to bar staff at all times — bartenders, servers, bussers, everyone.
III. Each location sets its own rules for the $3 beer. Accept them without argument.
IV. We always side with the bartender. If a bartender says you’re done, you’re done.
V. Removal from the club means your membership is terminated immediately. There are no refunds.
VI. When drinking with fellow members, toast the reigning Monarch’s good name.

WHICH BEERS ARE $3? +

Each location decides. Every bar commits to at least one $3 beer option for members — but which beer, what limits, and what the rules are is entirely up to them. Some bars might have one choice; some might have several. Check the location listing or just ask the bartender.

HOW DOES MEMBERSHIP VERIFICATION WORK? +

You get access to a digital membership page once you’re signed up. Pull it up on your phone and show the bartender. We’re keeping it simple on purpose — easy for members, easy for bartenders, no friction.

WHAT IS A CITY FOUNDER? +

The first 100 members in each city become its City Founders. You get bragging rights, your name on that city’s founders list permanently, access to the City Founder shirt (available to founders only), and a CITY FOUNDER designation on your membership card. After 100, you’re still a member — just not a founder.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I’M REMOVED FROM THE CLUB? +

Your membership is terminated and there is no refund. We side with the bartender. This is not a policy we negotiate on.

WHAT IS THE MONARCH? +

One person per year holds the Monarch seat. Their name goes on that year’s club shirt. They receive a real physical crown in the mail. All members are expected to toast their name when drinking together. They are listed on this site forever. One Monarch, globally, per year.

WHY DOES MY CITY NEED TO UNLOCK? +

A city needs at least 10 participating bars and 50 signed-up members before it launches. This keeps the club useful — enough locations to be worth having, enough members to make it worth the bars’ while. Sign up, spread the word, and help your city hit the tipping point.
